Holiday Pixel Zone launch!

Welcome to Holiday Pixel Zone!

I created this site to help out folks who are new to the Holiday Light Show hobby. I think folks who have already purchased or are thinking about purchasing Twinkly brand lights will find lots of information on how Twinkly compares to WS2811 Pixels (more or less the standard in the hobby), how to use Twinkly with xLights and Coroplast Props, how to run Twinkly lights in parallel with WS2811 and much more. There’s also lots of good information for starting out with WS2811 pixels, whether starting from scratch or coming from Twinkly or some other brand of smart holiday lights. I’m continuing to add new articles, so check back frequently!

Also, even though it’s 264 days to Christmas as I write this, this is a prime time to be preparing for Halloween and Christmas light shows! DIY WS2811 pixel hardware (controllers, pixels) are in good supply and there’s plenty of time to choreograph those light shows. This is a time consuming hobby to get it right, so factor that into your thinking!
