Setting Up Twinkly Lights

Please set up Twinkly lights per the manufacturer’s instructions. You will need to download the Twinkly app and create an account. Generally this goes pretty quickly. Often, you will need to let the controller perform a firmware update before you can use the lights. Make sure you are connecting your phone and the lights to the same WiFi network. Twinkly like most IOT (internet of things) devices can only use 2.4 Ghz WiFi. You MAY need to set your WiFi router up to show both a 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz SSID to get Twinkly to work correctly. I highly recommend once you have the lights connected to WiFi and have tested them via the Twinkly app, you go into your WiFi router settings and give each Twinkly device a static IP address — this will save you headaches down the road. Once all of that is done, you can set them up in xLights.
